About year ago I experienced Atrial Fibrillation and was treated with cardioversion. I’ve only had short, mild episodes of atrial fibrillation since that time. If my pacemaker hadn’t recorded these events, I would have been unaware of them.
A few days ago, I began experiencing daily episodes lasting 1-2 hours. At this point it isn’t severe enough for the doctors to address it.
I was frustrated and decided to write a poem about what an episode feels like.
on the table
Where my daughter and I put together pieces
of a Puzzle
I wish this puzzling heart of mine
Had the correct pieces
Fit in the correct places
and worked as it should
