Pseudo-Acrostic Poem on Acceptance – 1000 Speak for Compassion

I have wanted to link up to the 1000 Voices Speak for Compassion for months now. It always seems that I don’t get around to the topic until it’s too late. I made it this month, yay!!

If you are interested in joining this link up, here is the link for the current theme: acceptance

Below is a pseudo-Acrostic Poem made from the current topic, Acceptance.

AFRAID – It may be difficult to accept because we are afraid of what will happen if we do. But life is not easy and although acceptance may initially be more difficult, it will be better in the long run.

CHOICE – You can choose to accept or not accept. Don’t forget that It is always your choice.

CRAZY – It can be crazy-hard to accept something when we are not comfortable. On the other hand, not accepting can lead to even more craziness.

EVERYTHING – Some things are easy to accept, such as a winning lottery ticket. Then there are things that are not, such as losing a loved one. But everything requires acceptance.

PRAYER – Difficultly accepting something is helped by prayer. Pray for whatever you need to accept. Keep at it and accept that you will likely need to do it more than once.

TEARS – Sometimes crying provides the necessary cleansing to accept and move on.

ASSHOLES – There are many of them and you have to learn to accept them. And guess what; at least one other person in the world thinks you’re one too, and has to accept that.

NECESSARY – It is necessary to accept situations and people who make us uncomfortable.  If we all did this, the world would be a much nicer place.

COURAGE – It takes courage to accept something that hurts or that we do not understand.

EVERYONE – It is only when we accept everyone that we can help make the world a better place. And this includes accepting ourselves.
